Scott joined RMP in 2015 and has since undertaken numerous noise impact assessments for a range of noise sources to standards such as; BS:4142, IPPC, BS:8233, BREEAM, inaudibility, CRTN and other PAN56 specific guidelines. Projects include; Exxon Mobile Fife Ethylene Plant Mossmorran, IETF Test Facility RAF Lossiemouth, multi-use business park at Edinburgh Airport, Charles River Laboratories Tranent, commercial pub/nightclub noise assessments in urban areas and planning noise impact assessments multiple residential developments over Scotland for companies such as Barratt Homes Ltd, CALA Homes Ltd and McCarthy & Stone.

Scott recently published and presented at the 2022 Internoise Conference his paper on “Environmental Noise Monitoring and Assessment of Petrochemical Plants”.  This included an examination of the Scottish regulatory guidance for the monitoring and assessment of environmental noise from petrochemical plants, as well as a review of the practical challenges of source measurement, and long-term monitoring and methods of data analysis.

Recently Scott has found a passion for falling off mountain bikes. While recovering from the inevitable injuries, Scott also enjoys science fiction, watching NFL football, and gaming.
