RMP Acoustic Consultants have extensive experience in the preparation of expert witness services and providing technical evidence for planning enquiries, arbitrations, government committees etc. Expert witness services also include provision of outline opinion, attendance at pre-inquiry meetings, conferences with Counsel as well as the preparation and presentation of precognitions.

Parliamentary enquiry – Edinburgh Tram Line
RMP Acoustic Consultants provided expert witness analysis and evidence on the noise and vibration impact from the proposed Edinburgh Tram Line scheme. Our evidence focused on the impact that the maximum tram noise levels may have on the sleep disturbance on the residential properties in the quiet Roseburn corridor.
Planning Enquiries
- Charlesfield Village – proposed new settlement next to existing transportation and industrial noise
- Marionville – proposed new residential adjacent to railway
- Cuba Norte – enforcement appeal against breach of planning condition for restaurant being operated as entertainment venue; RMP provided sound insulation assessment and advice
- North Road , Berwick upon Tweed – proposed new commercial development adjacent to existing residential properties
- Raeburn House Hotel/ Edinburgh Academicals Cricket grounds – proposed new hotel and club house adjacent to existing residential properties
