The new £16M Bargarran Primary School, St John’s Bosco Joint Faith Primary School & Nursery project involved the construction of a new two storey building and shared site facility to replace the existing two adjacent schools. The work was carried out in phases to ensure the safe running of both existing schools while the new shared building was being constructed.

The state of the art two storey building has mirrored wings for the two schools with flexible spaces to support independent learning. On the ground floor all classrooms lead out into a courtyard with canopied areas for outside learning while upstairs classes have access to a balcony area. The shared dining hall doubles as an ‘after school area’ and there is an all-weather pitch as well as a feature ‘green roof’.

RMP provided full design and acoustic services and worked closely with the project team to ensure that Bargarran St John Bosco successfully met the requirements of BB93.
