Grangemouth is one of Scotland’s largest petrochemical plants, Hydrocarbon refining has been located on this site since 1924 and petrochemical processing commenced in 1951. The Ineos Manufacturing Scotland Ltd, Grangemouth site produces a range of petroleum and chemical products. The plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The complex is situated within a low-lying estuarine plain on a 30-acre site. The site is bounded to the West by residential properties

We were instructed by to undertake an environmental noise assessment of the plant, in line with the conditions for the Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit number PPC/A/1013141, implemented in Scotland under the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2000.
