Joining RMP initially in 2012 as a Trainee Consultant, Eleni has progressed to Senior Acoustic Consultant. She is a full member of the Institute of Acoustics and the Institute of Physics. Eleni is also a deputy inspector for Robust Details in the northeast/west England, Scotland and Northern Ireland regions.
Between the various design projects site inspections and Sound Insulation testing, Air Tightness testing, Environmental Noise Impact Assessments, and Industrial Noise Control projects, Eleni has worked on many of the flagship buildings in the Central belt landscape including on the refurbishment and rebranding of the Point Hotel (now DoubleTree by Hilton) for RBH Hotel Management, Springwell House for AMA Homes, Edinburgh Futures Institute for the University of Edinburgh / Faithful + Gould, redevelopment of the old BHS on Princes Street, Edinburgh into hotel and retail for ISG/LaSalle Investment Management, Portcullis House in Glasgow for Watkin Jones, and the Love Loan project in Glasgow for Chris Stewart Group.
Alongside her work as a consultant, and as lecturer at the University of Edinburgh and Napier University and for the Institute of Acoustics, Eleni has built up an incredible collection of analog synths. In her free time, she enjoys singing (in the shower as well as in a choir!), playing music, reading any book she can get her hands on and running.

Design projects
Eleni has been involved in the acoustic design of projects including residential developments, health care, hotels, educational and office buildings. Projects include; the refurbishment and rebranding of the Point Hotel (now DoubleTree by Hilton) for RBH Hotel Management, the mixed-use development including a Premier Inn hotel at 64 Princes Street for ISG, the Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket hotel for Madlin + Maddison, Springwell House (conversion of NHS buildings into residential development) for AMA Homes.
Eleni worked as project consultant of the Edinburgh Future Institute as well as the redevelopment of the Edinburgh College of Art for the University of Edinburgh, Portcullis House in Glasgow (multi-use tower blocks including residential flats on the site of former Government building) for Watkin Jones and the Love Loan project (multi-use development formerly known as George Street complex) in Glasgow for Chris Stewart Group.
Site inspections
As part of the acoustic design services as described above, Eleni regularly undertakes site inspections at all stages of the project; for pre-conversion surveys (for refurbishment projects) as well as during the construction phase in order to ensure appropriate detailing and workmanship have been implemented.
Eleni also provides on-going design advice on all design projects during design and construction phases, which requires review of acoustic detailing drawings, specification of building materials and review of contractor proposals and alternative detailing and materials.
Sound Insulation Testing
Eleni regularly undertakes sound insulation testing throughout the UK for a variety of projects including: commercial (schools, cinemas, hotels) completion testing, façade insulation measurements, pre-refurbishment tests for conversions, insulation assessments for upgrades to pubs and clubs as well as completion testing for dwellings under ISO 140, Approved Document E of the England and Wales Building Regulations, Code for Sustainable Homes and Section 5-Noise of Scottish Technical Standards. Additionally, Eleni is a Robust Details Deputy Inspector for Northeast England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Eleni has carried out sound insulation testing for Clients such as; CALA Homes, Barratt, Hadden Construction, Hart Builders and Cruden Homes, Lovell Partnership, Ogilvie, Interserve Construction, Tulloch Homes, Robertson Construction and others.
Air Tightness Testing
Eleni is accredited by the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme (EAS) to undertake Air Tightness Testing of domestic buildings.
Environmental Noise Impact Assessment and Industrial Noise Control
Eleni has undertaken numerous noise impact assessments for a range of noise sources to standards such as; BS 4142, IPPC, BS 8233, BREEAM, inaudibility, CRTN, CRN and other project- specific guidelines. Projects include; Stewart Milne timber kit manufacturing facility in Falkirk, various distilleries across Scotland for Blyth & Blyth, commercial pub/nightclub noise assessments in urban areas and planning noise impact assessments multiple residential and student accommodation developments over Scotland for companies such as CA Ventures, Lanark Student Living Ltd., Leith Housing Association, Barratt Homes Ltd, CALA Homes Ltd, CCG, McCarthy & Stone etc.
